On top of the already extensive list of features, we wanted to add a couple of extras prior to release. These are backup/restore and live tile support.

Backup, Restore and Share

Shift Work for WP7 now supports backing up and restoring of its database via Dropbox. Of course, if you have other members of the family using Shift Work, they could download the backup of the database so that they can see what shifts you are working.

Live Tiles

Shift Work allows you to create a live tile for each of your calendars. Each live tile will show todays shift on onside and and tomorrows shift on the other side. Tiles will be coloured according to the colours you have used to define the shift (see image).

Shift Work will support live tiles from version 1.0

Shift Work is a WP7 application specifically designed for shift workers who want to enter and view their shifts quickly and easily.

Whilst this can be achieved in a normal calendar it is by no means ideal. Imagine having to enter a years worth of shift information – it would take you a considerable amount of time and effort, especially if your shifts do not fit into the standard week.

Shift Work overcomes this problem by allowing you to create shifts using a combination of colours, letters and numbers and then build patterns of repeating shifts which can then be added to your calendar at the tap of a button.

Once you have entered your shifts you can share your data with others as well as create similar calendars for your friends, family and colleagues.

• Create colourful shifts with optional code allowing you to easily see your shifts at a glance.
• Create any number of calendars. For example: one for your shifts, your spouse and one to keep track of the kids (after school activities, clubs etc.).

Incase you thought we had been kidnapped by aliens for the last year I thought I had better let everyone know what has been happening.

My Mirror Pro is available now in the App Store

VAT Pro for iPhone is now available on the app store.  

VAT Pro is a powerful VAT and Tax Calculator for iPhone which allows you to quickly and effortlessly perform VAT related calculations. Simply enter the Exclusive or Inclusive value, tap Equals and VAT Pro will instantly show you the missing value together with a VAT breakdown.

Rates for 29 European countries and all US states are supplied with more on the way. If your country is not available you can use one of the five custom countries to add your own tax rates. All tax rates and country names are editable and up to four VAT rates can be assigned to each country.

Formally known as VAT Pad, VAT Pro HD is released for sale by Apple.

As previously stated, VAT Pro HD was to be called VAT Pad but was rejected because of the word Pad in the title.  Apple were convinced that this would fool customers into thinking that VAT Pad was associated with Apple.  We renamed it to VAT Pro HD and now Apple are happy bunnies. VAT Pro HD was released today and is now available through the App Store.

My Mirror Pro is a real pocket mirror for your iPhone 4. My Mirror uses the iPhone 4′s front facing camera to turn your iPhone into a real mirror. My mirror pro comes with over 20 high resolution frames which look fabulous on the retina screen. Simply choose whatever frames suites your mood. You can also use My Mirror Pro’s dedicated zoom buttons to check yourself out in detail! Looking particularily great today? Then use the camera button to snap a picture.

My Mirror Pro also alows you to flip cameras. By using the iPhones rear camera you can take pictures of anything or anyone inside a frame and save them to your camera roll for use in emails and MMS.

We had our new iPad app, VAT pad rejected today simply because it had the word ‘Pad’ in the title. Apple said that this would make people think that our app was associated with Apple! I guess this explains why there are no other apps with the word pad in the title.

We deliberated over the name for some time coming up with ideas such as “VAT Pad – the nothing to do with apple VAT calcualtor for iPad” but eventually settled for VAT Pro HD.

One of our planned future updates was to add the US states to the list of European countries already available in VAT Pro HD. This has now been brought forward so that the initial release of VAT Pro HD will now include VAT rates for all European countries, all US states plus five custom settings.

Anyway, here’s hoping that it gets accepted this time.

Our latest iPad app, VAT Pad,  has today been submitted to the app store for approval.  VAT Pad is an iPad only app utilizing the many great features unique to the iPad including split and pop over views.

VAT Pad currently supports over 29 countries with all tax rates plus five custom countries and we will be adding more in the near future.
